Weekly Lawn Care includes:
Mowing, trimming around landscaping and driveway, and blowing all clippings off of hard surfaces.

New this year, grass clipping collection will be offered for a small extra fee. Clipping collection will help to keep grass clippings from being tracked into your house, and also will give your lawn a more manicured appearance. Although if you prefer, the clippings can be mulched into the lawn for more nutrients.

Core Aeration:
Core aeration is the process of poking thousands of holes throughout your lawn about the diameter of your little finger. These holes relieve soil compaction, allowing roots to grow deeper, supporting healthier grass. When these cores or "plugs" of soil break up they speed up the decomposition of thatch, and provide a thin layer of soil for grass seed to germinate from. Core aeration is most frequently performed in the early fall, or spring and is often followed by overseeding.

Overseeding:
Overseeding is one of the most important lawn care tasks, yet few homeowners ever do it. So, you ask, if I fertilize my lawn properly, why do I need to add new seed, especially if my grass looks pretty good right now? The answer is grass is not immortal. After five or six years, grass plants will slow down their reproduction rates; they get tired just like we do as we age. Thin grass invites weeds.
Overseeding compensates for that natural slow down of the turf's reproduction. There are two major benefits to overseeding every three or four years. First, you insure your lawn stays thick and dense, or if it has thinned, you will make it thick again. Thick grass has few if any weeds if it is mowed over 2 inches tall.
The second benefit is disease resistance. The new varieties of seed you sow this year will have better disease resistance than those varieties already in your lawn.
Your goal is to have a lawn that is as dense as brand new quality sod. Go to the garden center selling sod and try to spread the grass blades to see if you can see any soil. Usually, the grass is so thick you cannot see soil of brand new sod. Now go outside and check your own turf to see if by spreading the grass blades you can see any soil. It is likely the soil will be readily visible. That means your lawn needs to be overseeded.

Power Edging:
Power edging runs a spinning blade vertically along the edge of a landscaping bed,
driveway or sidewalk. When landscape edging is done, the edger is ran along the
bed and any overhanging grass is cut and dirt that has been washed from the beds
to the prior edge is tossed into the bed leaving behind crisp, clean looking beds.

Mulch Installation:
Mulch should be applied annually to your landscaping, both for the aesthetic values it provides and for holding moisture in the soil for the plants. It is available in Red, Black Diamond, Cedar and many other colors.

Fall and Spring Cleanups:
Do you have a lot of leaves to clean up, and not enough time to rake them all? Armstrong Lawn & Landscaping can help. Leaf cleanups include cleaning leaves out of landscaping beds, collecting leaves from your lawn, and disposing of the leaves off site.

Landscaping:
Armstrong Lawn & Landscaping can create the beautiful landscaping you have always wanted. Whether you know what you want, and just need someone to do the planting, or you need to have your landscaping designed and planted, Armstrong Lawn & Landscaping can meet your needs, and if your project is too extensive for us to handle we can refer you to someone who can do just as good a job.

Storm Cleanup:

Pressure Washing:
Instead of using harse chemicals and long hours of strenuous back breaking work to clean your driveway, siding, deck, etc.  Let us come in and pressure wash it.  Power washing is not only safe for pets and children, but it is also environmentally friendly because we only use water and no chemicals.
